FAQ: What is the difference between variant and virtual content?
Variant content is stored on the variant level and is useful when each variant has unique content such as specific images, descriptions or documents.
Virtual content is stored on virtual level and applies to all articles within that virtual. If the same content (images, descriptions, documents or videos) should be shared across multiple articles, it’s easier to manage it once at virtual level instead of repeating it for each variant.
