FAQ: When should I use Bulk Editing Advanced?

We recommend using Bulk Editing Advanced once you’re comfortable updating in Bulk Editing Basic and want to store content on more dimensions than just product.

Use the Advance Bulk Editing Templates if you’d like to add content on a virtual level, manage multiple languages, or work with addon categories. If you mainly work with straightforward product data, Bulk Editing Basic is usually sufficient.

Capabilities you only have in Advanced:

  • Store information (images, descriptions, documents, videos) on a virtual (product page)
  • Add Swatch images for variants
  • Add Image types
  • Add Secondary and tertiary package information
  • Work with Addons (group related products within categories)
  • Add number of recommended number accessories/addons a customer should purchase (for example 4 table legs for a table top).
